Oh, and change back to the 99-2010 dually fenders. I guess ford dealers got a questionnaire on the new trucks and one question referred to how they like the new fenders. Does this mean if they get enough no's they'll actually consider changing them already?

I'm going to do my best to consolidate this thread since there have been a variety of great recommendations. I might have missed a few, but this should pick up most replies. We may not all agree on these recommendations, but wanted to represent as many opinions as possible. Let's hope the right Ford rep is tracking this. I'd like to think that we are doing our part to help Ford stay on top, and stay ahead of the competition

This could probably be a bit more organized by category (i.e. there are a few entries in here specific to the NAV, My Ford Touch, cameras, NAV font sizes, etc) that could all be grouped together. I think My Ford Touch actually addresses a good portion of the Nav recommendations.

General List

- Updated Nav (function unlock option for passenger). Essentially upgrade with My Ford Touch features/technology/form factor
- Heated steering wheel
- Rear seat a/c, heater, etc controls
- Rear seat heating/cooling (similar to front seats)
- On touch window operation all the way around
- In floor storage bins (similar to Ram)
- HID headlight option (if laws permit)
- Auto leveling/tracking headlights
- All LED exterior lights
- Auto adjusting mirrors when put in reverse
- Interior LED "ambiance" lighting
- User programmable driver info screen (i.e. ability to re-program for miles to empty)
- Programmable fuel tank size
- Manual transmission option
- Factory lift option
- Larger fuel tank for the SB models
- Sleeker grille design
- Crew cab SB DRW
- Rear air bags
- Oil pressure guage
- Volt meter gauge
- Automatic folding side steps (as an option to fixed steps) - they already offer this on the Expeditions
-360 degree camera, night vision capability, also bed camera for 5th wheel hitch
-Front parking sensors, similar to rear
-Electric locking/unlocking of the tailgate with the key fob.
-Rear doors that open from inside when locked w/o having to unlock; child locks cover the times when you don't want them to open.
-Instead of rear horizontal sliding window; a full width rear cab window that slides up and down (similar to Toyota, F150)
-Slide out extensions on sun visors
-Factory storage in sides of pickup bed.
-Carpet delete option
-Factory inside light for back of super cab
-View actual tire pressure per tire, not just a "low" signal
-Adaptive cruise control, blind spot sensors, etc
-Dimmer switch on floor
-Sunroof in Super Cabs (SC)
-Have second seat in SC fold down - not up - There is still some storage space there but cannot get to it without pulling seat back... Of course this storage would go away if we had full sliding rear glass..
-e-lock Diff FRONT!
-Let the seats fold back totally flat - for those "Rest Stop" camping...
-Allow owner to program out Door Chimes (Key in Ignition, etc.) & Courtesy/marker lamps...
-Let owner tell computer what octane fuel & computer changes timing & other things to get optimum output (Gas Only)
-True DEF guage - how much actual DEF is in the tank
-Stronger spring in the center console hinge (falls shut with just the small angle of my driveway)
-Nav system video input for a trailer camera
-Larger touchscreen buttons on all Nav controls. Some of the spacing/button sizes are small and hard to navigate, especially while moving
-Option to automatically enable tow/haul mode when connecting trailer
-Completely revamped audio/phone controls. The paddle shifter style audio controls on GM are much nicer and the phone buttons need work
-Better factory tires
-A true off road package which includes full locking front diff and a hidden winch but on a diesel model unlike Dodge's Powerwagon (or add as separate options just make it available)
-A back seat on CC which folds down flat making a bench
-Better turning radius
- Better regen begin/end indications (system message and/or optional/programmable chime)
- Ability to turn off all lights/chimes
- Nav font size option
- Altitude sensor/display
- Ability to put water bottle in door pocket, have rounded out section
- Phone dial pad in dash

On the models like mine where I have the front fold down seat storage instead of the alone console there is a spot for a cellular phone. It is obvious the cutout is made for an iPhone (which I have, iPhone 4). If the phone is in a case it will not fit properly. If the phone does not have a case; it fits so well that you need a key or something small to pop it out. Fingers along will not work. FORD: please make the cellular cutout bigger so smart phones can fit flush but have room to be picked up. Great idea, it just needs to be a bit bigger.
