I really like some of the other ideas and agree with many on things like the DEF tank gauge, other gauges, tailgate lock, etc. In order to not make this just a "me too" post here's some thoughts I didn't see mentioned elsewhere:

Stronger spring in the center console hinge (mine falls shut with just the small angle of my driveway).

Adaptive headlight tilt or auto leveling (hooking up my trailer means headlights in the eyes of oncoming traffic until I buy some Ride Rites)

Nav system video input for a trailer camera.

Larger touchscreen buttons on all Nav controls. Some of the spacing/button sizes are small and hard to navigate, especially while moving (yeah, yeah, I know... but you gotta be able to at least manage radio buttons while driving). Most are accessible from steering controls, but the touchscreen could be better.

Option to automatically enable tow/haul mode when connecting trailer.

Completely revamped audio/phone controls. The paddle shifter style audio controls on GM are much nicer and the phone buttons need work.

I'm having to look pretty hard to find the things that I'd change, cause I love my truck!

I'd love it if the 25mph limit on the rear locker and AdvanceTrac were removed. Maybe in an off road mode like the raptors.
And definately more information in the gauge detail screen, being able to watch certain sensors in real time would be cool.

Readin through some of the stuff i see ya guys would liketo see is alot similar to my wants. I have alot of stuff i like on my new dodge but like alot of stuff on the ford. I really like the sweet productivity screen. Mine has one but it not as advanced and its not color either. The heated steering wheel is cool for I like th einterior stlying better in the dodge. I like the locking rear in the ford alot. I like the storage bins i have in the floor of mine. I like the flod flat rear seating ford has(only available in the mega on the dodge) I LOVE the 6 speed standard trans in mine and the exhaust brake. I liekd the quietness of the ford but not the DEF. I think both trucks are great and could have more cool things to them. HID lights would be the thing id like to see come standard and led lights all around. If i didnt remove so many cabs to work on the 6.4 which breaks every other day id probably have another new ford sittin out front

  • PUT A REAL SET OF OFF ROAD TIRES ON THE TRUCK THAT DON'T FALL APART OR WEAR OUT BEFORE 1ST OIL CHANGE!!!!
  • Rear audio controls in Crew Cab like Chevy
  • A true off road package which includes full locking front diff and a hidden winch but on a diesel model unlike Dodge's Powerwagon (or add as separate options just make it available)
  • a back seat on CC which folds down flat making a bench

I would like to see something done to the turning radius. I cannot believe that no one has mentioned how difficult it is to turn a long bed stretch or crew cab and negotiate a parking lot or try to back up a trailer. Ford improved the 450 turning radius but nothing for the 250/350's.
I also would like to see the back windows in the stretch cabs go up and down just like the F-150's do. I don't know why that hasn't been done already since the 150's have had this for several years now. How much easier it would be to hit a button to open the windows for some extra ventilation and for my Beagle to hang her head out the window.

I would like the regen message to stay up for five or six seconds and be accompanied by a single chime. I would also like a similar finished regen message and chime.

I don't know if I could stand anymore chiming.
It chimes turning the key to on (before seatbelt is locked), it chimes because of the TPMS, then it chimes again after I start from TPMS and it chimes as I get out because I open the door before I remove the key.

Yes, I know the TPMS can be corrected so that's six less chimes but it will just turn back on again because I'm too close to the threshold and it keeps getting hot/cold here so I've given up for now and using the good ol' tire pressure guage like I used to (wow, what a run-on).

Sorry - but I want no dings - EVER!!! But - everyone should get their own flavor of adult beverage.....

I just want to be able to "turn off" all lights & noises - Ford should make that a with the fancy computer (SYNC) - I would have paid extra to be able to do that - but won't pay extra for the system as it stands...

Yea - we were at the ranch this week - dog & I pulled in put some feed out & turned off truck about 6:00 am to kill some pigs.. The dome light wouldn't go off so I pulled the key & punch door lock - laid back in the seat til daylight.. Pigs come out about 7am I open door - It starts beep to start truck before the alarm goes off... of Course pigs run off...

This is a regular day for us - so between the marker lights & the beeps I would like to turn it off... really would like a switch but -a program change would be good.. -I have heard that there is a Police blackout mode if you know someone at the stealership but don't know if that is true.. makes sense........

The thing already knows when DEF is half full, 800 miles left, and then several more count down warnings listed in the book. So it should be free to put that somewhere in the info center. So I want that and I want it in my 2011, nevermind 2012.

I want to be able to make the fonts in the nav screen bigger.

I want mph and altitude in the nav.

I love the idea about being able to monitor various functions like EGT or WTF the regen is doing or various other. Again, these are things the machine already knows about so showing them somewhere in the info section would be free.

I want an accurate speedometer, odometer, and lie-o-meter. This one would be pretty close but I think it doesn't count gallons used for regen although the instant mpg sure sees that.

All of the above should be doable with software updates.

Finally, I want to be able to put a water bottle in the door pockets. One little section in each door a bit rounded out so a water bottle can go in there.

Go back to Headlights on top and the marker lights / turn signals on bottom. Still not used to the reflection in the windows.
