All i wanted to do was gain some more HP. Simple you say? Intake, exhaust, DP Tuner. Not enough! Replaced tranny, new stage 1 injectors, H2e turbo kit.....believe it or not , not much difference. Replaced oem oil pump wiyh Dual terminator. Not any difference. Replaced torque converter to stock stall speed. replaced cam sensor again! Not any difference. Proof was a dyno today ringing in @ 289 hp. Thats right, a Big Fat Dog! Lots of $ later and what to show for it? Ihad the chip programmed several times each time i made a mod. Anyone want to throw out suggestions? I personally think its the tuning
do you have gauges? if so what kind of Boost numbers and EGT are you seeing? If you have high egt and low boost probably a boost leak, if you have low egt and low boost I would suspect some type of fuel issue...what kind of fuel pressure is it running?
boost 38 lbs., egts are high in my opinion, but normal driving doing 70 around 800. very high when pulling camper. fuel pressure around 56 -60. around 15 mph it dips to maybe 47 for a split second but everyone agrees it gets enough fuel.... i cant even see cars behind me when i tromp on it there is that much black
If you have that much smoke then you need more air. I'm wondering if you may have a leak, how quick is the spool up on the turbo? Anyone around you have a boost tester?
i have an afe air and spool up is pretty quick. had a turbonetics on b4 and this one is quicker and higher ibs. no i dont think it has a boost leak but i again could be wrong
I would do some data logging, I have a DP, 38R, singles, and 6637 and there is a huge difference in my truck especially since the live tuning this past weekend.
Have you checked for blowby?
