It's only the bottom "line" that off, when the tailgate is aligned the top line is even with the tail light indentation.

The bump tailgate looks just fine with a little sheetmetal work.

So when you're done with this 'bodywork' on the tailgate to get the lines right, aren't you just going to have a tailgate that looks like a dentside tailgate, essentially, anyway? Sorry bud, bump tailgates on a dent just look half a$$ed IMO. For the record, you can get away from the typeface with a Ford finish panel.

While I think the pull out handle is cool, I just cant get past the fact that the bed and tailgate don't line up well. The top looks fine, but the bottom is WAY off and will require more time and effort than its worth. To me at least!
The body lines go away MUCH better when the paint on the tail gate and truck are the same color.
For me - I'm not picky enough to care a ton, but I do have dent tailgates for both of my dents and I'm not sure I'm actually going to be running a tailgate on either
The handle was originally cadium plated (1964/66), chrome plated (1967/72).
The pictured tailgate is C7TZ9940700A - 1967/72 F100/350, but...
In September 1966, Ford obsoleted the C4TZ9940700A Styleside tailgate (1964/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD), replaced it with C7TZ9940700A Styleside tailgate for use as a service part replacement.
Because of this, C4TZ tailgates have been hard to find for decades in decent condition.
1966/77 Bronco's use the same cadium plated handle as 1964/66 Stylesides. Its tailgate is a shorter version of the C4TZ tailgate.
The C4TZ tailgate has larger FORD block letters than the C7TZ tailgate. The C7TZ tailgate has an raised embossed ovate scallop line surrounding the letters.

Agree, that's a lot of unnecessary work to only have it looking like chit anyway.
What are you even going to do to fix the lines or at least the bottom 1 because I think it is impossible unless you cut the gate in half below the letterring , move the bottome down about an inch , splice in some new metal and relocate the tailgate to bed mounts. If it were me I,d just use this and put the chrome trim on it.
Show us what you do though.
