Interesting tailgate handle

Went to a pick and pay place today, and saw a tailgate handle I've never seen before. It pulls to the side instead of lifting up like every other tailgate handle I've ever seen. Anyone else ever see a handle like this? As soon as I get paid, I think I'll go try to get the tailgate if it's still there. As I recall it was from a 76.

tbh I have no clue, I haven't even checked out how it works (only had the truck for about a 1.5 months) but it operates so much better than the lift style IMO!

I like the looks of the tailgate, it was def a dentside that it was on, and I like the handle too. Maybe I'll go get it.

A bump tailgate will fit on a dent. They just look slightly different.

66-77 Broncos had them, too. Not sure if you could get it to work with a dent tailgate.
