Just make sure your alternator won't slip with the additional torque requirements from the new load.

You probably already know, but the Oasis IS the york... just not engine driven.

Yeah, I know. Ended up with a 3rd deep cycle battery, isolator and alot of cables but now I run the 4 stereo amps and other items off the 3rd so as not to drain the 2 sys. batteries. I would have ended up doing all this anyway so I guess it worked out for me.

Yes there is room! you just have to make some! I am currently doing this to my 6.0L. I am adding a secondary Alt belt system that I purchased off of EBAY installing that system with a modified hot side intercooler tube and glow plug module mount. I got this idea from the trucks at work with a VMAC air compressor that puts 70-140 cfm.the pic of it on the engine is a 6.0L. I wont be putting one of this on because ther are worth about $7K

From an engineering standpoint, you are absolutely correct! This should reduce the loading on alternator bearings by quite a bit.

I think this is a brilliant concept and plan, and am looking forward to your results so I can plagiarize, err, do something similar!

As far as belt slipping, it may be an issue if you had to run the alternator at MAX output (seriously discharged battery or running a winch or 15 driving lights...) at the same time as compressor, but I doubt you'll have any issues when alternator is working at normal levels.

Not sure......the last pic is the only one taken from the bottom, the rest are from the drivers side shooting towards the passenger side.

Do some research.......as mentioned the York style is the only AC unit that should be used as an air compressor for many reasons. Also, why give up the AC just to have compressed air when there are other options such as.....................The Most Powerful DC Air Compressors in the World

I know how hot AZ gets, no way I'd give up my AC there.
