Darn, I just ordered new gauges last friday, be here thursday. Figures just like electronics always improving.
I think the red light or a yellow light would grab my attention. As for the settings, sorry I'm too much of a rookie. Been reading old treads for the limits I should be running at.
Doesn't the ScanGauge let you set a warning threshold? ISSPro has got to keep pace.
^^^This!
That's pretty cool, nice that they might improve upon it. But my feedback is that it wouldn't make me buy them until things are user adjustable and I can set the limits to my liking. Since they all are digital, I would def buy a set if I could simply plug the laptop in to the ESP and set what I want. And it'd be even neater if they made it so we could make the display whatever color we wanted and the warning light flash a specific color or even the whole gauge flash. That technology exists too. I know, I know, it's asking a lot to do all that and still be affordable. That would just be the ultimate set of gauges though.

Fuel pressure more then 50psi??? Or less then 50psi? A stock OBS with a mechanical fuel pump will see spikes and lulls below 40psi. Just trying to understand your thought process...
I was thinking to have it come on when pressure drops below 50 psi. I didn't realize the OBS would drop pressure that low... one more reason to buy an SD pump and go electric!
Instead of a light or flashing light, I would like a voice to come on and say something like. "Hey dumb-azz, look at me. Are you stupid or something??"

The ESP has the data logging software that you guys think is too expensive already...
It comes down to cost, if you guys will pay more then they can add function, but right now I hear complants about the Performax system costs now.
When I get my new camera in a day or so I will take a video of the data logging software and warning light...
I would like a solid light at a certain level, then flash when it gets past that (user adjustable, of course). But it's funny in a way -- we always rag on the built-in idiot lights/gauges in our trucks, then we want to ADD that functionality to our gauges...
I have my Scan Gauge set for battery V below 12.5V. The warning lights are on when the GPs are active. Easier than wiring up a separate LED. LOL

Yea, but at least these gauges tell us what we want to know!
My scan gauge is set for 3000rpm. Maybe I should set it for low battery voltage. Headed out on a trip the other day with trailer in tow. My scan gauge kept going dim, called it a few names for not working. Finally realized my alt. went out and running off the batteries. Stopped at an International dealership, tested batteries, tested low 9v. Drove around for while and finally had to park it at an O'Reilly's. They were good and took care of me.
Joe, this a great idea. Make sure they are LED's! They definitely get your attention better than anything else. I also concur with your limits.

My father in law owns and aircraft instrumentation company, My wife is the "voice". Once in a while when we're at an air show or some other aviation event someone will hear her voice and swear they have met her before, they just cant remember where.

I'm sure it is better then the Garmin voice that tells me where and when to turn.
