I found a set of those tires local to me. but they have the runflat inserts still in them. Can those be removed? Or will they work on a regular 16.5 rim, with the inserts?
Yes the inserts can be removed, and no the inserts will not work on any other rim, only the humvee rims.
But the humvee rims will not work on our trucks without a spacer.
You beat me to it. I was planning on running the 37" Goodyears on a couple of my trucks and am saving up for them. I will have to ask my boss to use the dock at work...if he even lets me (I work for Coca-Cola...not your local small warehouse...Took an act of congress just to let me plug in my Cummins over the winter months)
But seriously...who needs a dock just to get 4 tires off a truck? Pull the dang semi in front of my house and open the doors...
A guy from another forum has an 86 f250 6.9 with 3:55 gears and 37' tires and he says he loves it.
Sounds like me...
I'm getting 17mpg so far... I figured it out to be the same as running stock size tire with 3.07 gears. I havent towed anything yet so i don't know how it will do towing.

I think it's all in who is driving the truck, when the guy showed up to deliver the tires they had just closed the dock, but the guy was really cool about it and helped me pull them off in the parking lot, I think we sat there for about an hour just talking about the tires and our trucks.
But I don't know if it's so much needing a dock, as it is just needing a business address that they can ship to.
