99 F250 V10 with a Boss 9'2" Poly V.... I love this plow and I will never go back to an 8'2".... just don't drive home after drinking thinking you can slide right into the garage with the plow on.... the repairs get expensive on the garage.... LOL!!!!!
Missed this thread. For a ton of good information visit Plowsite.com, good website and a great bunch of guys.
We clear about 75 miles of road (I use the term road loosely) in a very rural mountain area. Here are a few pictures of my take home 2008 F-350 and a video, one piece of the larger stuff. Take care...Jeff
Anyone use a Monroe MS886-RF? I need to know hoe the 2 hydraulic lines from the auger, and 2 from the spinner hook up to the truck. It looks like a "no brainer", 2 male, 2 female connectors but the truck it came on has 3 female fittings. Starting to think maybe the seller just put his oldest salter with the truck. I've seen it done many times with plows.
I have a 99 F-250 SD V10 that I use for towing ski boat and I hope to plow my drive with it this winter. I got a used Meyer 7' and everything is working except I need to mount some lights. The instructions require that you cut the hi and low beam wires in the harness to splice in the switch. Does anyone have a wiring harness diagram that would make it easier to find these wires. I think they are all in a bundle on the driver side fender well?
^^^^^^^^^ '02 F250, 5.4, automatic, 3.73's, 8 1/2 foot Fischer Minute Mount. No problems plowing 18 inches of snow and no problem running at 90 mph on dry road with plow still mounted!
Inverted99 can you tell me about the snow chains that are on your plow truck.
thanks Desert 4x4
They are 8.5mm twisted square links with some type of zinc coating to prevent rusting. I run chains more than I care to admit and they make all the difference in the world. This is the third season on these and they are on the truck 75% of the time in the winter and do see some asphalt which is hard on them, although not as hard as spinning the tires, that breaks chains. Take care...Jeff
Edit: I have used both the rubber and metal/spring tensioners and prefer the rubber ones. The metal/spring tensioners break too often.

I got the update done and still had trouble with snow plugging the air filter. A few strategically placed towels in addition to the update solve my problem. The newer Dodge and Chevy boys have the same problem.
Not sure about the aftermarket intake, I have not heard anything, if you can keep the snow from getting in the engine compartment then it is not an issue.
I would take a picture of the towels for you but the truck is at the Dealer right now getting serviced, new windshield and I think an Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor. Basically I block off the area behind the passenger side headlight because that is where the intake is. I also place a big towel blocking the gap between the passenger side of the grill and the headlight. If you let that towel hang down in front of the hood release it also keeps it from icing up. If this thread is still going when I get my truck back I will take a couple of pictures. Take care...Jeff
2008 F250. Came with the 5200lb springs, but I swapped in the plow prep 5600lb springs. Put the cab clearance lights on Wednesday. 8ft Western Pro Plow. Haven't used any of this yet, so I can't say how well it will do. But its only for my house and my parents, so I'm sure I'll be fine.
