That part I know, I'm wondering how the truck does with the plow in the nasty, wet, stuff. My guys told me the plow might push the truck around some in wet snow. I figure with careful operation and excellent snow tires, it would not be so much of a problem. I'm used to running them on duallys with vboxes on the back.

If your talking about pushing while plowing ....no pushing. If so an 8'2" will push also so either way get the 9' With good tires it will push great. I have to say with wet snow you push alot less than if it was dry snow. Having said that if you try to push to much wet snow , yes, it will move the truck!!

Heres my old plow truck.
2004 F-150 5.4L with a boss 7.6 poly


Heres my new one...


No plow yet but I'm going with a Boss VXT. I took the plow off the F-150 when I traded it in and Im going to pick up a jeep soon and put the plow on it to use as a driveway truck.

I plowed with the 150 for 4 years, it plowed well, but I broke a few front end parts along the way.

Beautiful truck, great choice on the plow. You going poly or steel for the plow? 8 or 9 ft?

Warranty Question

I just got an 2010 F250 CC SB 6.4 4x4. It does not have the snow plow package. Will I have warranty issues?

Going to go Western 7.6 Pro due to a fantastic deal. I'd have gone 8' but this deal is too good to pass up plus the 7.6 Pro is what Western recommends so maybe Ford will ignore the fact that I have no snow plow package. By the way, what comes in the snow plow package other than the 6000lbs springs? Mine are 5600lbs.

I don't think you will have warranty issues, but if I remember correctly, the 6.0L diesel snow prep package had a different fan clutch, as well as springs. For the 6.4, I don't know. There might have been something else in there, I don't remember. But for a gas engine, it's just the springs. I think I made a thread about it at one point in time. Use the search button for "what was in the snow plow prep package".

I won't lie, I'm really jealous of that plow. Is that a full trip or trip blade? I wish I had a Blizzard dealer around here, but the closest one is 30 miles away, and my Boss guys are right in the back yard. How's the truck handling it? How heavy?

The lo-pro weighs about 1200# depending which edges you use. It is a blade trip a, not an edge trip.

Plow prep on the 6.4 is heavier springs, different fan clutch, heavier alternator, and relocated temp sensor.
