Your truck has a Dana 50 front axle with a 5,200 lb rating.
Thanks Crazy! Appreciate the link. Trying to figure out how to run a 9' 2" Boss right now.

So now my head is bouncing between a Poly V-XT 9' 2" and an 8' 2", can't decide. For those with the big plows, what do you guys do when things get thick and heavy out.

Depends a bit on what you plan to plow. Generally bigger is better.......

Here in Tampa, FL we don't have any snow but we do have "snowbirds". What plow would you suggest to remove them from the roadways.

I think a general plow forum would be good; maybe there already is one.

Oh there is. But there always seems to be a lot of questions on here, so I figured I'd start a thread for all us FTE'ers.

That's my main problem with Boss plows. Their 8' 2" is too small, but the 9' 2" is almost too meaty. I wish they did an in between like Western/Fisher does.

He's alive! LOL Hey buddy!

I agree though, bigger is always better. It isn't very often you hear a snow contractor wish he had a smaller plow, it's always the other way around... Plus, your Ford can handle it, if you had a Chevy I'd tell you to go smaller...

Handles it fine. I have 6000# springs and a 1" spacer. Boss would not install a plow on a truck if the truck could not handle it. Called law suit.
