I filled up with it last week and pulled a trailer to central IL, and it got about 13.5 mpg, pulling an enclosed trailer, single wheel, about 3200lbs.
I liked the way it ran on E85. It is more available in the rural areas of the midwest.
It ran good on it. Exhaust smells sweet as well. I will run it again.
This is a website in search of E85 in IL. Just delete illinois and type in your state (in place of illinois) to find E85 stations in your respective state.
the price of E85 is 2.23$ here in michigan. Regular is 2.75 or so. I bought some E85, and ran it in the old john deere. I agree, the exhaust smells different, and the fuel smells kinda like liqueur mixed with a small amount of gasoline. I noticed no power loss. Pretty interesting. What are prices by you guys?
Just click on the first column (E85) and it will show the LOWEST price which here is $2. The regular gas is I believe around $2.75. A major "spread" indeed.
