Re-occuring glow plug relay problem

Two years ago I had my first g.p.r go out. Ever since then I have replaced the part 2-3 times per year. Why am I having this problem over and over again?

Thanks,

Aaron

Because you haven't yet discovered "The Final Solution".

However, all the guys above are trying hard to steer you in the right direction!

It looks like the consensus is the Stancor, where do I get 2 (just in case)?

Unless, of course, you have two trucks!

Some do!

You guys are pretty confident. The first time it went out I was deer hunting in the middle of Wyoming. Thankfully, I bought a yahama rhino right before and drove it about 25 miles to a bar in a town where 20-30 people live. The bar and it's patrons looked liked they could have been in Deliverance. Yes, I took a gun. A friend picked me up and I got home at 2:00 a.m. without a deer. That is why I want 2.

you could have jumped the 2 big studs with a screwdriver for 30 sec and it would have got the gp hot.

Good to know. Do you turn the key over and then do it?

The hot terminal is ALWAYS hot so no need to turn the key before you short the terminals.
