edge evolution from dp tuner

Was wondering if anyone has tried one of these from jody yet? I just came over from a 7.3 and I know over there his tunes is the ones to have. I am about 99% sure I am going with an sct from spartan but thought this might be worth bringing up. If you have heard anything about this let me know what you have heard, thanks Aaron

Custom tuning is the way to go, your choice on the vendor

I agree om the custom tunimg, I was just wondering about the evolution from jody, Can I switch on the fly like the juice I had? Does it help the trans like the sct I am probably going to buy from spartan?

I do not know Edge products that well. Custom tuning is not switchable on the fly. You can use a custom transmission file with no engine tuning combined with an Edge to switch power, stacked.

Flash tuning is the most used in the 6.0L which combines transmission and engine files for the best results.

It's a flash tuner. No change on the fly.

The Evolution is a programmer. It flashes the PCM and TCM with customized programs. It also provides some PID information, what exactly depends on the year.

I've not heard good things about the Juice. Personally, switch on the fly has no appeal to me, so I'm glad I went with the Evolution.

Since I am old skool I never kept up with Edge products..... Thanks for the info guys. I know the Edge box in line module did nothing for the trans and most people coming from the 7.3L liked the switch on the fly power they were used to using, so stacking with custom SCT transmission files was a way to accommodate both worlds.

I agree I have not heard ANYTHING good about the juice for our 6.0's. But I did like the switch on the fly with the juice I had on my 7.3 because I run stock mainly, except when I pull which is a couple times a week and just really did not want to have to keep reprogramming the computer all the time. If I cant switch on the fly with it I think I probably just stick with my original plan and go with the SCT from spartan as from what I have read I cantgo wrong with thier product, Aaron

Spartan SCT, yes Jody was a good way to go for the 7.3L, I too was in your same shoes last year. Totally different tuners and products from a 7.3 to a 6.0L...

Ya spartan it is, I recieved an email from jody today and he does not have custom tunes figured out for the edge yet so all he said he would beable to sell me is the standard tunes from edge, and I am convinced the custom tunes is the way to go after talking to evan foster at spartan.

Well that's too bad that Jody doesn't have the Edge figured out yet because I was going to send my Evolution to him soon since I liked the way it shifted and provided power on my buddy's 04, but I needed it updated for my 05 truck. I'll probably just follow suit and go with Spartan Diesel too, I was just hoping to save a few bucks.
