I'm not sure I understand, you build Fords, but you are here asking about the transmissions? You should have a direct pipeline to all the answers you might need. With A plan, you get 3 percent under invoice plus incentives, how could you look elswhere for a truck?
Zero experience with this transmission, asked around got nothing came looking for others experience. Was this a singular instance, I've received enough feedback to know that there are serious problems with this gearbox but not all of them. The 6-speed is simply not used in what I typically do, and I know why it is going to stay that my in my buisness.
For a nobody, I can access HP/Race info though I typically use few Ford Parts and even less often do I buy them from Ford. I've got nothing on the consumer side, no need.
Ford is not the only place I can kill the invoice, just walk in with cash.
How long does it take this "adaptive junk *** strategy" to correct terrible shifting. I have a 2010 and yes I am a 100% Ford man> my truck bangs the hell out of the 1-2 and then the 3-4 bangs and then slips. Its funny because my gf's old 91 with 250k miles did the same thing oh wait it had 250,000 miles on it. My truck has 2,600 and the trans is junk in my opinion. I have had 4 straight ford and yes they are a superior truck but these transmissions shift like crap.

That's why some of us will wait to buy until the problems are all sorted out. I don't think it's a problem with the transmission, but a problem with the way all the electronics interface. The geeks will figure it out eventually. But if it were me I'd be screaming at them all the way to Mullally if I had to to get it right. And if I were an executive at Ford I'd have some ***** working 24/7 to get it solved or they'd be unemployed.
My 2010 is doing a lot of the same things, but I attribute most of it to the controls. The trans seems strong, I've already done some heavy towing and saw none of the previously-stated issues under heavy load. It's the unloaded driving that I have trouble with. Just seems like it's always looking for a gear. I think a shift-kit would actually help a lot. If those shifts happened a little faster/harder, it wouldn't have nearly as much lag after hitting the throttle. At some point Ford will come out with a re-flash, just like GM did for my 06 Silverado. No big deal, that's what warrantees are for.
