Hello,
Does anyone know how the blower motor speed control works on a 1971 Ford F100. I have one speed and thats high and off. Any information would be greatly appreiciated!!! Thanks!!!
Can you please tell me where the resistor is located? I have looked and the motor seems to be rigged up and spliced, so the resistor is probably missing. Thanks!!!
You will likely get a specific answer in the proper year model of the forum....with that being said,TYPICALLY the blower motor resistor block is mounted in the air ductwork somewhere close to the motor itself.
This resistor block screws in with i think 2 screws, and has a plug with relatively heavy gage wire,If memory serves a total of four.
Unplug the connector, and remove the 2 screws. You should see about 3 large coils of wire connected at one end to one of the treminals, and the other ends connected to different pins on the connector plate.
