no problems here so far, had in in for a few months but I will keep an eye on it and I do not thing I'm going to have this done to my wife's van, I'd rather let the thing burn down then have a wreck.
I haven't gotten my vehicles done either, just haven't gotten around to it but also not thrilled about anybody being under my hoods. I'd take it back ASAP before they forget .
Me too Big Poppa. I bought the part and put it on myself. Won't let the dealer under the hood if possible. Cost me $20.00 but who knows what I saved !!!
takes less then 5 minutes for them to do it. and they dont bring any tools to the truck..just the pig tail..they didnt even pull my truck in the shop...made it easy for me to know they were doing nothing else..
Me too Ron,I had the speed switch recall done about three weeks ago, they didn't even mention pulling my truck in the shop,I went to the service desk and told them why I was there, about five mins. later a guy come out with a new harness,it took about five mins.to put it on,I haven't had any issues so far.I tried to get me a new CPS from them for the glove box,but he wouldn't go for it,I have the CPS I got from International about three years ago.

I have to admit, this one dealer down in another town has hooked me up with discounts, spider gears for my Expy and were real nice, might give them a call and see what the procedure is for them. If they do the out the door fix I might just bite the bullet but its not going in the shop period.

This makes me feel a little better but will check to see for sure if they'll do the same thing.
Another part of the recall is to inspect the switch to see if its leaking. You might have a bad switch. Its job is to show when theres a brake request by measuring the increase in pressure. If it doesn't show it, the harness can't help you.
