jisl, if the voltage is low on the FICM, don't be afraid to try the repair procedure you'll find in the tech folder. Mine was bad and I figured I might as well try to fix it since it's broken anyway. If I failed I would be no worse than before...
I have ZERO experience soldering but it's not that complicated. The note about having someone hold down the resistors on the front...DO IT. I got one heated up and it slid out of position. I thought I had really messed it up but was able to move it back and managed not to be sloppy with the solder so I didn't create a bridge between the two resistors.
UPDATE AND THANK YOU!
It was the FICM! I sent it to Swamp's for the repair and also had them upgrade it to the 58 volt version. Thanks to hndacr for the initial direction in checking the FICM. Also thank you to the team for the tech folders! To those who put them together, they are amazing and I know it wasn't anything you had to do, but chose to just to help fellow FTE's.

One additional note. The FORD house wanted just over $700 for a new FICM plus another $95 to reprogram it (or whatever they call it). If I would have went that route I would have had to have had the truck towed to them after I put the new FICM on. Overall I would have been pushing $1000 by the time everything was said and done.
Swamp's was $450 with the upgrade and I chose to have next day shipping both ways at about $70 a pop. I like the total better plus I don't have to take it to the FORD house for a posterior exam! Swamp's told me it could take up to 10 days, but I shipped it out at 6pm on Tuesday and had it back in my hands on Saturday morning. I'm a happy customer!
