Glad you got the fire put out without too much damage. I would hate to have my truck catch on fire... Had to help work a wreck last night. car ran into an electric pole and knocked the primary loose and the primary fell across the road knocking out a lot of electricity. Anyone just hate how stupid people act when there is a wreck and the road is blocked so they cannot move???? people were getting out of their cars thinking they were going to go look at the wreck and one person thought they were going to grab ahold of one of the downed primary wires before i told him to get back in his car... people these days..

Yeah a dude thought he was gonna be funny and grab ahold of some primary.. I stopped that pretty quick. He coulda probably done it b/c it should have tripped the fuse at the pole, but even so everyone should know to treat it as if it's still live. i couldn't believe how dumb some people were being though. Just amazed me that some people want to yell at us b/c they are stuck in traffic when we are out there helping trying to get things cleared up... I would hate to have to do that everyday!!!

i was thinking about becoming a fire fighter i have some experience exspecialy when my dad got drunk when we were camping once and through 2.5 gallon gas can full of gas in the fire LOL siinged all the hair off his face and arms LMFAO

Sounds like the guy was gonna qualify for the Darwin Award. Down lines may trip the supply source but there is potential on some older power grids to back feed the line from a step down transformer this is especially true if people hook up generators wrong at thier residence then teh step down becomes a step up.
Went to my Nephews Wedding Yesterday it turned out nice. There was some drinking going on afterwards. I only had a few and we left about 9pm took us a while to get home. Went to bed about 1230 or so. I am not use to that. ha

Got to run to work in a minute; one of my shift workers drove the damn fork truck into the uttility pipeway and damaged some lines. I had him pee tested. Got to go see the damage and do repair estamates. Hope the pss test comes up positive I have a personnel record on this guy thats 3 pages long. So a positive would do him in. Then mayby I could get someone worth a flip. HR is making jump hoops on this guy because of his race. Its not about race, its about integrity and ability! Back in a couple of hours-
