TEXAS SIZED B.S. THREAD
I noticed alot of other Chapters have a strong b.s. thread so I am starting one for April. Happy Easter as I will be smoking a brisket all night and into tomorrow(no sleep). Went to the car show today. What a CROCK. They put my truck in the same class as modified 73-present trucks because they don't have an unrestored original class. My truck can't compete with an 08 jacked up raptor. Or an older 85 or so chevy silverado that has had the engine chromed out and repainted.
But any how How the hell is April treating you thus far?

I set my alarm for 5:30 after staying up and trying to take 20-30 min cat naps and didn't wake up till 8:15 with the alarm going and my 2 year old awake(Today is her birth day) Fire was still smoldering a bit so I moved the brisket to the far side away from fire and started back up. Going to start making my BBQ sauce at 10 this morning.
Thanks Rocky and HAPPY EASTER TO YOU

Tonight I plan to cook about 30 jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon.

I may try the shrimp thing with the cream cheese. The cream cheese by its self is additive. I have some fresh gulf shrimp.

Whats this got to go before the wife catches me. She will catch you anyhow when she sees the grease from those ribs on the key board.
I just bought 2 whole rib eyes loafs or clots (what ever you call them) for 2.97/pounds at baywoodfoods they cut them free. Last time I bought one there and they charged a 1 more per pound to cut them but then they were priced 1.97/pound. So you see how they are working it by reviewing the price I listed at the first.
I have some really huge fillet knifes for off shore fish and I use those to cut some 1 & 1.4 inch steaks off the ribeyes before I bought this last batch.
You cant beat those deals.
I iced down a case last night, in the cooler by the pit.
