Oregon used to be the largest producer of wood products in the WORLD, we had plenty of family wage jobs, our schools, roads, infrastructure were second to none, that was the 50s,60s, and 70s. Then the enviro-***** struck, the housing market crashed, years of liberal government.............Now we too have "Tourism" jobs.
Now we are the Arkansas of the west.

The beginning of the EPA was the beginning of the end. They have wat to much power and decisions are based on opinions and feelings instead of science and facts.

Good forestry, conservation of wilderness areas, and timber harvest CAN coexist..........but the enviro-whackos refuse to see it, they use endless litigation, outright lies, and a liberal base in the W.Oregon cities to ruin our biggest industry and all the family wage jobs with it..........Doesn't matter to them, they have jobs in retail, tourism, political activism, govt..............The rest of us can be re-trained for all those non existent jobs that are promised.
