So I found a 4 wheel trail near me here in middletown, and proceeded to check it out on saturday. Didn't go too far but it was a heck of a good time. It was spur of the moment, so I don't have any pictures or anything yet. Next time I will take my video camera and do it up.
4 wheel as in trucks/jeeps or 4 wheel as in quads? If you're referring to quads shoot me a PM if you'd be interested in going riding.
Greg, is your tire guy Tony (Tire Depot)? If so i have not had much luck with him!
Yes, I have dealt with him on multiple occasions and even sent other people over there. Nothing but good things to say. Tony always treats me well. At the beginning of winter I bought 5 new Goodyear tires from him for my truck and his price mounted and balanced was less than I could have bought them for from TireRack.com (shipping excluded). It doesn't get much better than that.
When talking about tires...check out your local Ford dealer. Right now there is a special...buy 4 tires...get an instant $100 rebate...plus...many of the tire manufacturers are offering mail in rebates.

Well im happy for you but i will not go back or my family. We have used him for 5 different cars (Not All mine) Nothing but problems. He tries to push the junk cooper tires. The last time was the straw when he had my truck from 7:30Am to 3:30pm and never put the tires on my truck. I was done after that and went down to firestone and was in and out with the tires for my truck.
I would have to say that he has cheap prices but the service has to match.
Now I just want to head down into new haven for some pepe's, thanks. Any recommendations on tires? I was looking at the new hankook atm's. Seem like a decent a/t, and have gotten pretty good reviews. My buddy had bfg a/t's, but I never liked them too much in the snow in CO. I want a decently aggressive looking tread.
i would look at pro comp a/t's. i have bounced around from bridgestones, to kumhos's, and the pro comps were the best quality and longevity per dollar in my opinion. they had a great tread as well.
i know of a good installer aligner in branford if you are interested.
I'm in Bristol just a couple of miles from his shop. Maybe the difference is that every time I am in there I already know the tires I want. I was either matching a blow out or in the case of my truck, had already done my homework and knew exactly what I wanted ordered. On the other half of the coin my old 79 had a set of Cooper ST tires that I was very happy with.
