coolant temp sensor

guys
how many coolant temp sensors are on the 351 windsor? mine is 1993. I see two, one by the thermo housing and one on the air plenum. are they the same? they look the same. i planned on replacing the sensors during my rebuild but bought one and see two....

There is only one temp sensor (ECT), the one on the air plenum is an air temp sensor (IAT) and not a coolant temp sensor.

You also have an coolant temp sender screwed into the lower intake manifold for the temp gauge on the dash but it is not a sensor.

Where on the air plenum is it? I have the same year, same motor and don't recall seeing one there. I thought it was on the lower intake by #5 or #6 cylinder.

The IAT is located top center front of engine, near intake runner #6.
