The fuel filter housing on my donor '89 7.3 is cracked, but I found a replacement from an early '90's 7.3 - at least I think it was an early '90s, and I think it was a 7.3.
The '89 filter has a cast aluminum base with what looks to be a fuel return line, but the '90s one only has a thumb screw drain fitting as part of the filter housing.
Can I use the later one and just plug the return line?
I know Starmilt said that one was cheaper than the other.
Thanks for any insight!
They are all the same after 87 as far as I know, however you can get a different filter with a thumb screw on the bottom and delete the aluminum bottom piece.
