Here in Arizona you no longer need a permit to carry concealed!
I am not sure i like the fact that any Yahoo with a pistola can hide one in his pants!
At least with a permit you know that person has been trained to carry and he know's what the law's are and when to use. now, all of the sudden you have to worry about the untrained carrier.

I've been keeping up with the whole Arizona Constitutional Carry thing...here's a few fun facts....In Vermont and Alaska you can carry concealed without any license at all. In most states you can carry openly and there is no law against it. As far as "any yahoo with a pistola", here's food for thought: If you're a criminal chances are you're going to carry a gun illegally regardless of any law restricting or allowing you to, and if you're a criminal chances are you aren't allowed to carry one in the first place. If you make the choice to take responsibility for the safety of yourself and your family by carrying a gun then you have probably already weighed very carefully the legal and moral obligations and ramifications of carrying....Vermont and Alaska have been doing it for years and there has yet to be "blood in the streets" from all these "yahoos with pistols". It comes down to individual responsibility; if you own a gun legally, it is almost certain that you are a responsible gun owner. if you own a gun illegally it is certain that you have been carrying it anyway. As far as training is concerned, I am a huge proponent for firearms training and WISH more people would spend half as much on training as they do guns or gas for that matter, but it's called the Bill of Rights, not the Bill of Wants or Needs.
Yes in the state of PA you may carry openly, nonconcealed, with no permit. For more info go to this link OpenCarry.org - A Right Unexercised is a Right Lost! . When I carry concealed I have my Glock 27 in a paddle holster under my shirt. When it gets warmer out I openly carry my fullsize 1911.
I have been carrying a gun for well over 20 years and 5 were during my time as a LEO. I whole heartedly believe its our right to carry and protect ourselves and those around us. I also believe it should be concealed.(its not a law in TN as its just a carry permit), but the reasoning, is that it should be used as the element of surprise. If you are in a place of business and it gets robbed, who do you think they will go after first, a person they see carrying a gun. But if its not visible, then you might be able to assist in defusing the situation with your surprise.
Now the new TN law that you can carry in a bar, is an interesting deal. I understand why they are doing it, but also feel that alcohol and firearms dont mix. No matter if you are a good legal law abiding person, get a few drinks in ya, and watch out! HAHA I feel this law helps those of us going out to eat at say Chillis, local Steak shop and so on, that happen to serve alcohol or have a bar in it. Just have one more thing to say, be Trained.........WELL trained all ALL of your firearms and educate those around you, that might see them laying around...........peace

I respect your opinion and don't want to turn this into a debate on OC vs CC. Another thought is that if someone is casing a place to rob and they see a person openly carrying a gun then they will move on to an easier target.
Also I strongly agree with your last statement. Even the well trained continue to learn everyday. My wife and teenage children have been taught firearm safety, even though the only weapon out of the cabinet is what I am carrying or hunting with.

Well after re-reading my post and yours, I have to digress somewhat, you are correct in some aspect. In fact I do armed security work sometimes (esp during holidays) and they want me to carry the largest gun I own and have a few of them on me. I believe its due to someone seeing the guns and like stated, not wanting to mess with that type of comfrontation. Certain situations call for different reactions, but I feel the unknowing will usually prevail. Be safe bra..........

I do agree that is why certain times I do carry concealed. Keep safe and remember a right unexercised is a right soon to be lost. Whether you choose to carry openly or concealed you have still made the decision to protect yourself, your family, and those you care about. That is worthy of the utmost respect.
I understand that, but do you really think that anything changed as far as people carrying or not? Even before the law changed there were untrained people carrying. The law keeps the honest people honest.
Why is this in the F150 section? It should be in the General Non-Automotive section.
If you bothered to read the entire post, you would know that I started this thread because my pistol is uncomfortable to carry given the new style seats in my 2010 F-150 FX4 SCREW... I was hoping to find some like minded people who might have some suggestions as to where/how I can put my pistol when I'm in the truck, ie; a seat mounted holster, etc.
I've heared some good ideas but am still not sold on anything yet. Any more ideas?
