Water Pump Going Out?

Well at the light to day I hear this squeak.....squeak......squeak. About every 3 seconds. It doesn't change with engine RPMs and from the hose method seems to be coming from the front of the water pump where the pulley attaches. Does this sound like the water pump bearings are going out?

If it is you will start leaking water from under the pump soon. Then you will be sure.

Ok. So do I wait for the weapage? I drove her today, no noise. Seems to be intermittent.

If you have time, just replace it before you have too. When you HAVE TOO always seems to be at the wrong time. If it's not leaking now, it will. Granted, it's not 100% it's your water pump, but most likely.

Yup...get it done ASAP. A long time ago after I got my truck I pulled in home and noticed I had water/coolant draining from the underside of the waterpump. No warning at all...no noise was heard. I guess I lucked-out when it happened at home.

Thanks. Is Bosch a good brand? It's the only new pump I can find locally. The rest are refurbs.
