Truckers are subject to and regularly pulled over for safety inspections and in some dayum dangerous places at times. The dot in the us and canada safety inspections are tied together and reported to the same place.

i got pulled over once i had to go on one of there portable scales was 2 onces over wait i went to over side of my rig and took out some gabage ans took a **** jump back in and it was under weight

About the doors, here in WV it reads something like if the doors were "designed to be removable from the factory" you are not required to have them in place.
So the Jeeps that have lift off doors are the only vehicle that gets inspected or runs around with no doors.
I think there are a couple more that fall into the classification, but right now the Jeep is the only one I can think of.
