About the doors, here in WV it reads something like if the doors were "designed to be removable from the factory" you are not required to have them in place.
So the Jeeps that have lift off doors are the only vehicle that gets inspected or runs around with no doors.
I think there are a couple more that fall into the classification, but right now the Jeep is the only one I can think of.
