Scan gauge update.

Gauges came via UPS today. I will get about 1/2 of them shipped out today and the rest on Tuesday.
I ordered 1 extra Green display if anyone wanted one that couldn't get in on it last week.

Just wanted to let ya'll know, and sorry for the delay.

Oh, and I glanced through the instructions and it appears that a 12v switched power wire might be needed for the PSD. It wasn't very clear about it, it might get the power from the OBD-2 port, kind of try it and if it works you're good. Just make sure to read the directions and see for yourself.

Thanks.

They have a pretty good web site. I don't have the link now but tomorrow I'm going log into their tech forum as it has some good information. Seems they encourage to ask for enhancements and I want to see if they could provide a high idle option on OBS. From what I've read it's possible for them to re flash the unit if sent back.

I get so many emails, and so little time to dig through them, so...

Travis, Jose, and Jim, all 3 of yours shipped out on Monday. As did Roger and a couple others.

On the switched 12V topic - Mine came with a 2 pin jumper on the back of the guage, you're supposed to remove that if you connect to switched 12V. Well, I forgot about that. Truck started, but I had major electrical problems until I figured it out. Major being dash display going nuts and the engine never missed a beat when I turned the key back OFF. Lucky I have manual trans and could kill it. Did not blow any fuses or damage anything that I can tell. I got lucky.

Travis, I read the instructions and they say that SOME trucks need to be switched with 12 V and others not, is not your choise, till I understood, you have install it direct to the OBDII port and see if every thing is working OK, if not, you need run it switched.

As far as I can tell, the AE and terminator are the SAME thing with a different sticker on it.

Unless the scanner needs to sync on startup with the OBDport, you can switch that bad matha jamma all day long.
