I wish it was something other than the fuel! I have between 12-13 gallons to get rid of once I figure out what to do with it and where to dispose of. That was some nasty stuff and my clothes are on their second wash now! Still deciding if I will try to get the tank boiled out or just replace. I have been "online" parts shopping all night since posting the original post on the build site. My wife thinks I am in over my head but she always under estimates the garage skills, must be something with throwing wrenches or things like that!

I have a few things too which someone else could put to use. Anyone need a wiring harness? Bought a firewall to rear bumper wiring harness from a 75 Supercab to put on my 78, but found out the plugs are different, so it's just been lying in my closet. No cuts or repairs, just a good unmolested wiring harness. Needs new covering, but wiring is good.

I know around here, if you take your used oil to like O'Reilly Auto, they'll recycle oil and other things for you. Or maybe if you have a buddy who works in a garage.
I talk a lot about donor parts too koolchange. Maybe someone should start a donor registry. Like the ones for people, but for dents?

Well, after calling around to our O'reillys, Autozone, Napa and Wally world ( only auto places in my small *** town), I figured it would be dump on a burn pile or ditch but since I am in the Pacific Northwest, and everyone is so concerned with what YOU do, not their own business, I called the local Transfer station or known to most as a DUMP, and they accept hazmat free of charge and they even had a local site within 3 miles of me. Since I had so much and only 2 cans, it was still 2 trips! Glad it's gone and new parts should be here Tuesday!!

Verified my 390 is a 390 rather than a 360 in disguise... Also figured out that Motorcraft doesnt make platinum plugs for previously mentioned 390 although many parts stores list said item; the thread diameter is too small. And finally, in an attempt to keep a little oil in the engine, I retorqued the valve covers and oil pan.

Yesterday I messed with some wiring and got my brakes working right. Then I drove the truck for the first time since I brought it home. My fiancé and I went to her ball game then to get pizza between games then back home. All in all it's about 50 miles with only a spit and sputter twice. I'm happy with that.

Where can I find a left rear eng mount for 1969 ranger 390 ?
Ihave converted to power steering from manual with ford steering box (Saginaw )
I need the mount from a power steering PU probably 1967- 1977 just a guess.
Ford power steering box interferes with manual steering mount... Need automatic mount.

Drained oil pan, Finger loosened some bolts to oil pan, cursed the Denial trip that insisted underside had to be 'steam cleaned', . NOT DONE so why pay? Rain started real serious so came in. Feed sacks on oil spot when rain stops so can take off nuts for M. Mounts, lift engine, drop oil pan, replace gasket and motor mount.
Sure i could verbally slaughter some of the techies who decided the locations of some of the Old Girls parts and Pieces....But who would I swear at then?
