I have no proof but when these were new (in use) there were a few around, but weren't real common. They could have been a conversion but some at least the ones I had looked at did not have adapters on the rear. But a highboy had the same frame as a cab and chassis, so that would be no problem. They possibily could have had adapters on the front. I do know if they were marmon conversions the few I had a chance to look at were not marked or was not obvious as the older marmon conversions. Most were fleet rigs though and could have been changed when new.
If you are refering to the pics of those trucks that have been been converted to duallys yeah i saw it.This subject has been disscussed many times here and I stand by my facts.

I can't believe the number of people that try to argue that there were dually 4x4 pickups before '99.
There are two 95 dually crew cab pickups in the town I work in. Both are conversions from SRW, one by Manning and the other was a home built. Both were done well enough they look like they came that way from the factory.
99 superduty?? I know this one is false i drove an 89 at work for about 10 years that i know was not converted.
Some dealers carried brand new 4x4 dually pickups. But every one of them didn't come that way from Ford. Manning was the most common converter. They took SRW trucks and converted them. They swapped the bed and rear axle. They pulled the hubs and put in the dually hubs on up front. Since Manning is a factory authorized converter, they carried the full Ford warranty. Manning did such a good job you couldn't tell just by looking. But run the VIN and it will come back as a SRW.
