Comin home from school today the torque converter unlocked around 45-50 mph. Went from 1500 rpm to 2000 rpm. Stayed there for a few seconds then went back to normal, did this maybe 5 times in 25 miles. Roads are convered in slush and snow, but would it be possible for it to have to shift down due to extra drag caused by the snow? I dont think thatd be it since it didnt shift to third gear it just unlocked the TC. I had the TC replaced (under warranty) maybe 3 months/1000 miles ago roughly. Gettin tired of trans issues though. Any thoughts?

Yes, that could be it. As you press the go pedal further down first it will unlock the torque converter, then it will downshift if you press further.
