e40od takes off in overdrive

I had got a truck that has had the trans rebuild e40od
it has been sitting for about for years due to the 95 powerstroke went out
I bought a 93 7.3 the trans was bad in it
I dropped the 03 idi in the palce of the powerstroke trans works fine
in every was but drive it has now power at all seams to be trying to take off in overdrive.
I swapped all the wiring from the 93 to the 93 so everthing pulged right in
I have not done the wires under the dash

but everything from firewall like the control boxes
I am rill stuck on this
I also changed the insterment cluster to the non turbo this made the tac work
and after changing the tail light nad trans wires the od light now blinks

IIRC there is some kinda shift sensor on the side of the trans that causes this problem, but im not much of a auto trany guy, but one question if you pull it in low and shift it yourself does it take off in low then

one more thing the converter from the 95 trans had 6 studs
93 flywheel had 4 so I used the converter from the 93.

All the e4od needs to work correctly is, tach reading, speed sensor on the rearend, and the throttle position sensor on the side of the ip. As long as all of these have output ur fine. If u havent hooked up the tach under the dash idt it will talk to the trans.
And the computer from the stroker wont work for the tranny if the idi is in front of it. Im pretty sure that they went to a single computer for engine and trans then. But i may be wrong.

Do a code check..... if the OD light is flashing it is telling you a code number for the problem. Azone or most other AP stores will tell you what it means.
