welp... my original plan was to make a 427 out of this 71w block and put her in my 75 f250
what do you think about that?

A 351 Windsor engine is completely different than an FE BIG BLOCK. You should visit the small block forum for the 427 Windsor Strokers.

I dunno if a regular 351w block can overbore enough to make a 427w engine. I think that stroker kit is aimed at aftermarket blocks.
418 is about as big as you can go.....

That is why the question needs to be asked in the SMALL BLOCK FORUM...

351w blocks can be bored up to .080 in some cases. A 427 stroker kit uses a .040 overbore piston to get a true 427 stroker. A .030 overbore with the 4.17 crank is a 425 cubic inch small block.

you got that right.. but i still want to do a 428 CJ i just bought the book How to Build max-performance ford FE engines by berry rabotnic, i don't know what block to look for or what really makes a CJ for that matter.
