Thanks Mike I plan on having some fun! That sucks about the sled. How is the ratrod coming along?
I did not notice any difference in warmup time Troy. I did mine out of necessity a couple winters ago. I sprung a massive leak out the actuator rod and it was my only transportation. I over nighted a delete pedestal from Rons Turbo Service. This was before I learned that you could just gut the stock one. I actually would like to pick up a stock one again and re-install so I could use that as an exhaust brake. Like a dummy I through my old one away before I decided I wanted to do that. D'oh!
Let me know if you'd like to swap, I'm looking at deleting mine some time this summer. Can't use it with a van turbo anyway.
My wife has been looking at p.t. cruisers for a couple of months now, and decided that she really wanted one. Yesterday we got our taxes back, and she was hell bent for leather to get one. We drive down to Forest Lake and check one out. It was pretty beat up, needed tires, and was a repo. I could tell it wasn't taken care of very well, but I wanted her to get that one for $2400 so we could go back home. She declined, so we drove over to Monticello to look at an other one that she had been spying. The cars in good shape, no dents or anything. It runs and drives good with no obvious clunks or ticks. I don't know much about these cars, but this one looked o.k. for $3000. It needs a caliper on the drivers side, and the rotors on both side seem shot to me. ( I can feel grooves in them.) After we got done with the test drive, I popped the hood on it. I could see some anti-freeze around 2 of the valve cover studs. There was no explanation I could determine how this happened. Maybe her other half spilled some when he added coolant, maybe the rad. cap let a little out. I still don't know. The owner said that she was going to change the oil this weekend, so I check the dipstick. The oil was clean, it looked like it could go an other 3000 miles. But I'm used to looking at my black, sooty oil all the time. Well, when my wife has her mind on something, there's nothing that anybody can say or do to change her mind. So we buy the car, it made the 180 mile trip home o.k. She's happy so I guess I'm happy. I think those cars are ugly, but all of the power stuff, like windows and locks work. And it has a good stereo in it. Oh well, she agreed to leave me alone for a while now, I said at least 6 months, maybe even a full year!!

Good luck. Hope that antifreeze does not turn out to be anything
