Good evening everyone. I forgot all about the local chapters on f.t.e. until I scrolled down a little further then usual tonight. I signed up around the some time I first signed up to f.t.e. Hope to get in on the latest b.s. that's going around.

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone is doin good tonight. We had a bunch of friends and family over today for my son's 3rd birthday. Now we have a bunch of new toys to play with.

Toby, from Grand Rapids. I've been off of work for the last couple of weeks, and I've been trying to get everything in my truck working right. Hopefully I have a job waiting for me in Texas, I'm just waiting for the guy to call me back. Now I'm getting worried because he doesn't answer his phone when I call and doesn't respond to my messages. He's on vacation too, so maybe he doesn't want to be bothered with things till he get's out of New Orleans.
I have a 6.9 diesel in my truck. The other day I pulled off the soup bowl from the air cleaner lid. It was suppose to give me better performance, but it didn't. So yesterday I pulled off the muffler, and holy cow, what a difference. Now I've got the truck I've always wanted, and it sounds mean too. If I get time today, I'm going to run to town and pick up some 3 inch pipe and install the where the muffler was, and see if I can't find a 4 inch tail pipe. That should Make the sound deeper, and get it out from under my truck.

Nice to meet you Toby. Sounds like your getting that truck running good. My '90 f350 has the old 7.3 in it and when I straight piped it sure made a difference. Gotta love it.I have been having trouble with mine starting so I am going to turn it into manual glow plugs and see if that helps. I think my gp controller is bad. So what would you be doin in TX if you get the job? Where in TX?
