Good morning everyone.
Monday I went to an exhaust shop and bought a piece of 3" pipe 6' long, and had him squeeze the it down to 2 1/2 inch on one end for $50. And a 3" turn-down for $12. Installed it on the truck and it makes a real good, deep sound. It's shooting out just in front of the rear tire, so it's not as loud in the truck. I guess it's only as loud as I want it to be. If I take it easy, it's not so bad.
Yesterday I fixed my rear fuel tank nozzle, so I can fill up with the big commercial nozzles at the gas stations. I did the front one a couple of weeks ago, and the other day I filled it up with 18.5 gallons of fuel in about a minute. Not that I'm in that much of a hurry, it's just that I don't want to be stuck at a gas station that only has the big ones. I've only run across that once, but it's better safe then sorry.
Today I was thinking about mounting a shut off switch somewhere in my dash for the fuel shutoff solenoid. I just have to find a good place to hide one. I've heard that these truck are easy to steal and I would like to make it harder for somebody to do so.
As far as camping, I don't know where I'll be next weekend, let alone in may. It's hard for me to commit to anything at this point. Good Wednesday everyone.
Morning Toby! I bet the truck sounds good with that pipe in there. Dosen't seem like to bad of deal on it either. Making the fuel neck bigger was the first thing I did on my '90 when I got that too. Cheap and easy mod. As far as mounting the switch I would say up under the dash somewhere, maybe put a mouse trap in front of it that should slow them down if the thief goes looking for it. Heard anything on your job down south yet?

Nope haven't heard anything yet, I was gong to call him today but I don't want to bug him ether. The mousetrap would be cool, but I would probably get myself i it a few time too. I'm not worried about anyone stealing it around here, but I heard that down south they like to steal trucks like that and resell them over the border. They make good work trucks.
Hey Steve. Just got done sending some pictures of the bent pieces on my Equalizer hitch. I am hoping they honor their lifetime warranty and send me some new parts.
