We did finish the next morning on the tranny. Mom was haveing a fit that niether one of should be getting oil and dirt in our wounds but man I needed to get that beast back on the road. I went thru 6-8 trannies on that car as well. Finding the parts to convert it to a stick was impossible. Well atleast if Joe takes over the world he will let us shoot all the tree huggers lol.
When I was a kid, if I got hurt my Gpaw used to say "don't worry it'll stop hurtin' as soon as the pain goes away" took me years to figure out why that was so true!
nope i am getting back to work today. I can just barely move it but i only need a few good fingers on each hand! i am heading to get a sawzall today to finish it off. I also need a few more connectors. hahaha
LMAO I knew it you can't keep a good man down, but can't help but rib you some it's just second nature, h'mm maybe first nature for some of us. good luck and actually I flipped the sling on my wrecker over on my finger like a dumba$$ the other day and it is still sore as hell.
No but I was using rebuilt ones not used and my foot and my wallet had a lot to do with how much stuff I broke. lol
When I was young and dumb you know (kinda like you) I basically worked for parts between the ages of 13 and 18.After that I had rent and pickup payments along with all the other of lifes conveniences like electricity, things like that slowed down the parts carnage. lol
That stang had a 351w bored 30 over with an edelbrock 4" high rise on it with a holley 850. It would light the tires till they blew (15" truck snow tires) and the poor little c4's couldn't handle the power. Back then pintos amd mavericks were a dime a dozen and alot of them came with the c4. The bell was removeable so I would buy junkers for $25-50 and didn't worry about how long it would hold up lol.
