I may need a power window motor, my truck is a 77, but I am told the earliest they had power windows was 81, can anyone help with a power window motor that works, or part number?
It is for the drivers door on an F150.
Thanks,
Shane

Do you have a picture of the switches you used? I'd like to see your setup.
Sorry, I wasn't too clear above. The conversion has been done, a motor has crapped out. It looks like they used a later model Ford set up, so I don't need a kit, just a motor. Most of the after market kits LMC etc drive the standard regulator, whereas mine is a proper power window set up. So, an aftermarket motor won't work, I need a genuine Ford one, hence the original post.
I will try to get a pic up of the switch.
Cheers,
Shane
It would really help if you knew what was put in your truck. I have heard people using 80's Van stuff, and then this guy used parts/motors out of an 86 bronco. 1973 Ford F100 4x2 - '73 F100
I'm not sure how early on power windows came in but I would think the motors would be the same from the early 80's up into the early 90's - at least in the F series and broncos. Calling the parts dept. at Ford may yield some answers.
I have no doubt it would, but as I am in New Zealand....and they were never officially bought down here it is a bit tricky, plus Ford NZ add a truckload of mark up to any US parts....
I have looked at a wreckers, and a late model Ford Falcon one may work....btw, go have a look at the Ford Australia site, and check out the Falcon, especially the XR series, yup, rear wheel drive too.

Are you sure the motor is shot? I have never seen a ford motor burn up. It is usually just the gear in the gearbox. Can find a gear rebuild kit in every parts store.
