Power steering gear

Does anyone have knowlege of or refference to the mid 70s ps gear. As best I can tell they are all the same, even though some internal parts are different. I am interested in the upper part that bolts onto the main gear housing, where the control body is.

I am having a problem with one side only assist.

We have jacked up the front end and turned fully L to R 50 cycles, Have bled the return line under power and with power.

Works fine for one side.

I have an older Motor's Manual that is great for stuff like you have. Check the public library and the Mitchells Manuals are even better.

Power steering gear

I upgraded my 76 to power steering a year and a half ago, when I swapped the 300 for a 302. When I looked into sources, I was told that 69-79 (maybe 68-79,I can't remember now) 2wd F100-350 had interchangable powersteering gears. I have observed variations in brake line bracketry and made a custom bracket for my perportion valve that had been mounted on top of the old steering gear. The local truck specialty yard and some other sources assurred me of this interchange. I found one or two internet sites selling steering gears as well.
