Everyone on this site must have bought rubber parts from someone, who has the best quality rubber parts for the bonus built trucks. I need all the rubber parts on the truck and I want the best. I am leaning toward Carpenter as they have everything but I don't mind buying from other dealers.
So far, the stuff I've gotten from Carpenter has been very good. I haven't ordered "every" rubber part on the truck as yet, but I have gotten axle travel bumpers, and the rubber surrounds for the radiator as well as some of the rubber boots used in the steering.
Can't go wrong with D.C., the other vendors sell a lot of his stuff. Some of the rubber stuff from LMC is from Thailand, but is fairly decent quality (as far as fit anyway).
Thanks, thats what I thought. I am a little concerned about all the threads about tight door seals though. I have a catalog here from "Rubber the Right Way". probably gets his stuff from DC as it looks like the same layout.
I am going with a peel and stick gasket for my doors from Steele Rubber. I have a set of gaskets from LMC but I have heard so many complaints about these original gaskets. I was thinking about using the front part around the hinges from the original set and the peel and stick the rest of the way. It hurts to think about putting glue on my freshly painted doors. When I get them I can post some pictures of them. May be a while though. I called them and they sent me some samples. They look good to me.
