I've been married 16 years. Sure sometimes she gets a little jealous that I spend time in the garage. But she does support me in my projects, even though she isn't interested in helping. What I have learned, and I guess this why she's still with me, is to balance it. I still have to make time for her on occassion and when she asks me to do a project in the house I do it. Which reminds me, I haven't been doing a good job at that lately. Thanks for reminding me of what I need to do. I got a tile job to do around the shower she's been asking me to do for a while now. I've sensed some vibe from her and I couldn't put my finger on it.
But I'm double lucky because she is frugal and isn't a shopper. Sure she has shoes and boots and stuff, but she doesn't buy those often.
What does your other half think? Well, since I'm a bachelor are we talking about the left half, right half, top half, bottom half. . . You get the idea. . . I really don't have to worry about what the other half thinks.
You are a rare breed gurl. Stick with is sister......
Cheers.
I've always thought that I was just emotionally distant. Hahaha. I like the way you think a bit better.
I'm not going anywhere.

I'm sorry there was a truck in that picture? Your girlfriend is beyond hot....I dig her tattoos (been thinking about doing something similar). You should bring her to RRE I'd like to see the rest of that tat.

There are a few around. We're like vampires, we only come out at night.

Heh, he meant his truck. I had to go back to his picture and look again and much like Lisa posted, I said to myself, "I'll be darned! There's a truck in that picture!"
Hey Lisa, come on down to RRE this year, we'll shoot down to a local tatoo parlor, one recommended by one of our Tn. boys of course and we'll get a little something.

Ehh...that does sound alluring...and I am coming to RRE come hell or high water..but the tattoo I have in mind would be quite large and might have to be done in a few installments. Besides I wouldn't want you guys to hear me whine every time I have to roll around on the ground under a truck after getting a tattoo. lol

Maybe a small tattoo though?
I hear yaa Lisa, no back piece for me, just adding something small would be OK, add to my sleeve.
i'll jump on the end here and say that my girlfriend (4 month old daugher's mother, and fiance' when i get the money for a ring), i guess you could say, has mixed emotions toward the truck. i just bought it (99.5 F250 SD, ec, sb, auto, 118K...) back in october and immediately had to put an oil pan in it, and she almost had a heart attack (after i DID have a not-uncommon tourette's episode) when we found out how much it was gonna be to pull the motor to replace the rotten oil pan. although, i was lucky in that i got the originally quoted $1,766 job for $1,204. ANYWAY, she understands that at least my mistress is a truck, where her last fiance's mistressES were the sleezy, easy waitresses that he managed at Logan's Roadhouse. and although she acts interested in learning about maintenance, she hasn't gotten dirty yet. however, i'm very lucky in that i'm a paid fire fighter, and have a good bit of down time at work (as well as a garage in the basement of the fire station to park in) to do most of my maintenance. not to mention, but most importantly, an extremely patient Asst. Chief with the same interests who helps me (read: does most of the work/has most of the knowledge) when it comes to fixin' many of the things this truck has needed along the way. but, as long as the bills are paid, and i'm pulling my weight with our baby girl, the "wife" doesn't complain much about the truck or the money i spend on it. and although she hates riding shotgun in it due to the rough ride, she surprisingly enough wants to DRIVE it any chance she can get haha... she's a keeper
