Looks great dude. Are you gonna hang the old ones from your wall?lol.
haha I was actually thinking about doing that. I bought the FelPro reusable rubber gaskets for them. Turns out my old bolts were not long enough for the new valve covers and the new gaskets. Had to drive out to Discount Auto for some longer ones. Got 4 black ones and had to get the rest in gold cause they ran out!

Lol,I have all my old parts either hanging from a wall or on a shelf in my shop.My old cowl panel hangs above the shop door, the grille is on the wall, and my old dash hangs from a rafter.Anything else I can't hang is on a shelf.I would throw it all away, but it's the original parts from my truck,I can't bring myself to do it.
I've had that problem with Discount before. They seem to stock the minimal parts they can.The one off old Jacksonville is horrible, when they moved they stopped carrying half their stuff to fit inside the smaller building.
Heres an update on my passenger door panel, mind you this is just the first coat.
I will probably do four coats all together.
Heres what it looked like before sanding and first coat of SEM paint.
Very interested in seeing the after/completed pics of your interior! I have just begun restoring my 81 f150 with fawn interior and came across your thread. I have been going mad trying to match SEM or Colorbond paints to our fawn interior so I'm very eager to see how the palomino shade you selected came out and hear your opinions.
I gotta get pics up and start my own thread buy my truck is the reverse of yours on exterior colors...light hood with dark sides and cab. Needless to say I love your truck and keep going...looking good!
The Palomino isn't an exact color match but it doesnt stand out to bad and looks quite good in the end. I've read you found the exact mix in SEM for our interiors let me know how good that looks and i'll probably redo mine!

Sure thing JGreen. Keep an eye out on my restoration thread and there will be pics to come soon. The SEM rep in TN is mixing it today and shipping it out.
Yea they sell them for $170+ in the catalogs. The store here in town has a bent and dent area with stuff marked down. Showed it down to 80 and I ended up paying just $60 for it. They circled the dent and it is nothing to an untrained eye . I'll have some pictures up soon.
