Alright fella's not to much to update on the progress being I broke all my cheap harbor freight tools. I did how ever went out and bought an awesome set from Sears (Craftsman). And bought some rubber pads for my tool drawers in the garage... also a added photo of the happy fiance
Nothing wrong with craftsman tools. I have a decent sized set of them that make me a decent living. Only drawback to using them at the shop, is having to drive somewhere for replacements. Tool trucks are handy, but pricey.....
Of course, I also have quite a few other goodies that came off a tool truck.
But for a home shop or garage, they are great. If you happen to break anything, it will be replaced.
Lucky guy indeed. As long as she is happy, you'll be happy.
I'm not well versed with your truck, but does the carb come with a ford at kick down? If your truck is manual, it won't need it. I am asking for my purposes. If the street demon pulls vacuum over 4k rpm, I'll have to switch to a 650.

The carb does not include the Ford AT kickdown, you and I both will need to buy the adapter they sell on Summit.
It has *part* of the kickdown in place, but needs the kit to unlock it. I'm thinking of getting the same carb for the 390 in dad's truck, for when I finally get around to swapping on the intake I bought 2 years ago.......
(Also I've got a friend teaching me body work, and auto painting.)
Looks like someone made out at the Harbor Freight Father's Day sales. I actually have both of those. With as torn down as your truck is, the crane will have no trouble. My experience was different. I had to finesse it at about 8' in the air to go over the radiator support.
One problem I have with my shop crane is that the legs hit the front end, like the tie rod, before I get the engine back to where it needs to be. I don't have the HF unit. In fact, I built my own, but it is much like that one, although it might have larger casters. Anyway, just check that out before hoisting the engine as it is a pain to raise the truck to get the legs under.

Haha caught me. I've just got the front bumper to take off still but hopefully i'll have no issues.
