battery light

I keep having my battery light come on and off in my 2003 F350, it comes on after i let off the throttle and goes away when i am on the throttle. the auto store checked the batterys and alternator and said both are good. Is it possible to have a bad ground somewhere or something.

Yes, it's possible to have a bad ground somewhere or something. But.....

Get the alternator professionally checked if you can't do it yourself.

I suspect your parts-house chimps are clueless.

It sounds like an alternator.

Years ago, my light would flicker with a new alternator even though the parts store monkey's tester said the alternator was good. I politely demanded a new alternator. They obliged and I've been running it ever since. I think about 5 1/2 years now.

I don't like those parts store testers. In the vehicle or out.

Agree 100% with above posters. And I reccomend going with a NAPA or similar alternator that has a lifetime warranty if you plan to keep the truck. Mine goes out every couple of years, but I only paid for one alternator.

Get a good reman or preferably new unit.
If you go the cheapy way, don't be surprised if you go change 3 or 4 until you get the light to go out.(good one)

I had this problem about 3 mohths ago. We were on a trip, and stoped for the night at an RV park in Alabama. It was about 40* and lite rain. When I started the Truck the next day my battery light came on at low idle, when I would speed it up it would go out. After a hundred or so miles it was it was fine. The next day still fine. A couple days later it happened again, same temp and lite rain, same results, went away after driving. That night I cleaned all the battery connections. The problem has never come back

Take your altenator off and bring it in to be checked. I have had altenators pass the in truck test and fail the bench test.

If you look at the top of the alt you will see a plug that has 2 wires coming from it. The green one is the one that could be rubbing on the alt causing the light to flicker.
