Battery ?
I just changed my alternator yesterday and now the battery light comes on and wont go off. I just replaced the battery last year so I know the battery is still good. Could it be a bad alternator? Thanks in advance.

Did you get wires reinstalled tightly on alternator? That's what I would check first. Next, try disconnecting the (-) battery cable for a few minutes and then reinstall. If the problem persists, take it to the battery store for diagnosis on a machine. It'll pinpoint the problem. FYI, just because your battery is relatively new doesn't necessarily mean it's still good. When I was younger, I worked in an automotive shop that sold tons of batteries and it wasn't uncommon for some to be DOA when brand new.

What Buzzard says is correct, also do some simple maintenance like clean the terminals and check your ground cable for corrosion at both connection points. Look for possible corrosion build up going into the cable. A previously weak performing alternator can insue corrosion build up and when a new one is installed the weak point is amplified to trip the light.
