New to the ford diesel trucks, so bare with me....

Cannot help with the leaking o-ring issues, again bare with me....

On my '89 Cummins powered dodge I had a fuel line break, I went to Auto-Zone and got all new lines for it for pretty cheap. Granted, they were'nt pre-bent or anything and I did have to cut some down to size, but they worked like a charm once I figured out what sizes (diameter) I needed. Been 4 years with them now and no problems what-so-ever.

Other than that, LMC truck (www.lmctruck.com) shows complete brake line kits and fuel line kits.

Hope this helps some.

the o-rings are not the problem its probably the return line cap being warped and not sealing on the o-rings and injector.where is it leaking from the top or bottom?

Leaks in the fuel lines between the tank selector valve and the tanks is not a common problem.
Those nylon lines are rather tough.

The couplers do have an O ring in them, but unless you have had the lines off and back on, again not a common problem.

The metal lines that come up out of the fuel tank and hooks to the lines, that is a problem area.
Dirt and saly just lays there, and washing it out is not really an option with the stock bed mounted.

If you want to replace them anyway, 3/8" fuel line for the supply line and 5/16" fuel line for the return line and attach them to the fittings with hose clamps.
Any place the line may rub on something, 1/2" heater hose makes an excellent bushing to protect the fuel lines.

From the tank selector valve forward the lines are metal, and several people have had problems with rust under the frame clips causing leaks.

I just got back from my local Ford dealer and they had all the parts I needed to fix the fuel lines. One of the return fittings was $5.

Everyone recommends changing all the return lines and fittings. Probably good advice. I'm going to just try fixing one and see how it goes.

If I had followed all the good advice I've been given over the years, I could go buy a dozen new trucks and wouldn't have to fix this one!

Oh they do! That could explain....lol...didn't even notice but since the replacement I noticed the frame around the select valve wet. Good bit of info right there!

oh good.i could have swore mine was too.thanks.
it must be diff for our 9th generations then.
i saw the tank clips where larger and smaller for the stock FSV,but the lines looked the same(edit:yeah,i know they are,cus i slid the hose on each and it fit the same going into/out of the tanks).i knew i couldn't go by the new FSV cus its just a universal anyway.(the 5/16 lines slid on np with some Vaseline on the return fittings.)
