A Zone has a couple. The Gold Duralast doesn't give the spec's. I'm leaning toward the remaned Mitsubishi gear reduction ltd lifetime warranty. No Star I'm not a closet Choke owner slumming here w/ a poached pic of a nice truck..

LOL were looking at a different the picture I got was a starter not a truck.
closet choke I'll have to remember that one lol. There are several guys on here that also have a stroke and the funny thing I've noticed that several had the stroke before they bought an IDI. I have never owned a stroke but that makes me wander. lol

Are you sure that is for an idi? It looks exactly like the one I put on my stroke yesterday. Sometimes the computer brings us stroke stuff when it sees 94. Lookinf on Ebay it says an idi takes a 13 tooth starter gear.

For what it's worth, I just put a new gear reduction starter on my 6.9. Can't tell how it'll hold up but that thing turns over super fast and it doesn't get hot. I was having trouble starting mine and having bought it, I installed it. Kinda pain but after putting on I"m glad I did. Yes I did get it started.

when lookin for parts for a 94 look up parts for a 93 instead it gets rid of the powerstroke confusion.your starter should have a nose cone

Starter by Remy New - Part 99401 - Advance Auto Parts

Try this one.

I cleaned up all the excess stuff in that post then went back through the links and it did say 94 VIN M.

But as said above, the starter in an 89 7.3 is the same one in the 94, so when looking for engine parts, 94 is not a good year to use.

7.3 IDI NA
7.3 IDI turbo
7.3 Power Stroke

93 for turbo engine parts

88 to 93 for non turbo related parts.
