yes, stroker ace, white lightning, brewster baker, cannonball run. so i married an axe murder, austin powers, etc. just to name a few. granted some of those aren't comedies. but its a general idea.
Well since I last posted, I did a little searching on both plugs. The Pulsar plugs seem to be for real. But so does their price. Over $150 for a set of plugs? OUCH! There was one dissenter who claimed he could make a case that these would make less power, because while the pulse was delivered quicker the duration of the spark was shorter.(?...and your point is?) But overwhelming the response was positive and backed up by practical testing.
The E3's not so much, pretty mixed reviews. One totally dissatisfied customer claimed that one of the E3's fouled causing his catalytic converter to become fouled and the dealer told him that his was the fourth vehicle he had seen that caused that with the E3's. BS BS BS!
BUT- I can see how that design might possibly be more prone to fouling than a conventional electrode. But foul a converter? and 4 vehicles? No way.
This reminds me of when the Split-Fire plugs came out. I payed the extra money for them and was excited about having them. My brother pointed out the cost of them and asked if I really saw enough difference to justify the cost. A little more retrospect on this showed me the wisdom of his statement.
Here's the bottom line as I see it- the E3's aren't very much more expensive than a regular replacement set. There seems to be a pretty good following that have at least convinced themselves they are a worthwhile investment. This is where things get tricky- to get any slightly unbiased information you would have to have both kinds and swap them back and forth. Then have a way of measuring that would take away any error caused by presumptive expectations.
But if you were religious in the past on mileage and maintenance records, you could compare the results either when your current plugs were new or the E3's after they reached the same mileage as the ones they are replacing. That is the problem. Replacing old plugs with new will always result in an increase in power and mileage regardless of which ones you use to do it.
I'd have to say this falls under the category of "couldn't hurt and probably a good idea."

Ah- I'd say we have different tastes offhand. I consider Austin Powers as a movie I watched one too many times the first time I saw it, for an example. But that's what makes this world go 'round and the movie business a multi-billion dollar industry. As the saying goes: "one man's cup of tea...."
I probably wouldn't get a lot of agreement on Austin Powers as it is a classic in it's own right, and it would be an exaggeration on my part to call it a bad movie. But I wouldn't want to watch anything you listed more than once, and haven't watched some of them at all. None of them would be on my multi-watch list. ( Actually, I think I have seen Austin Powers twice, even with cable, sometimes you are just stuck.....)
I'm surprised that no one mentioned "Mr. Majestyk",best Ford film ever, with Charles Bronson.Anytime you want to poo-poo all over a chebbie owner, make him watch that one.
At least we have those good ones. But- IDK- I think the remake of 3:10 to Yuma is the best last western so far.
But to get back to "at least"... There was a large time span where there were NO westerns, save a few Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns. The "good ol' days" of Gene Autry, Randolf Scott, and John Wayne were gone. So were the serial shows like Bonanza, the Rifleman, High Chapparall, and the Lone Ranger.
I know,I pay for satelite tv and your lucky if you can find anything decent to watch and if you have kids around, you have to even watch out for the commercials on even daytime.Ford even used scenes out of Mr. Majestyk for their commercials for a while.Another good one of his was "The Mechanic",had nothing to do with turning wrenches, but sure was a cool assasin movie.
