Better regear it. I had a 90 with a 4 banger. I lifted it 6 inches, put on 35's and ended up having to run 4.88's. I could barely make it into OD. If you are regearing it, might as well throw in lockers. If you are lifting it, might as well put on a SYE, and before you know it, you are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in the whole. Nothing wrong with it, but just know that these things snow ball real quick. Mine was not going to be modified at all.
And that is how it starts.....mine was a 1 1/2 inch shackle lift and that was supposed to be it. Even with the 33s, you are going to feel a definite loss in power.
yeah, that's kind of what I figured. I'm afraid to touch the engine, because it will have California Spec emissions and what not. I do know that it will be getting Cherrybombed and K&N intake before anything happens to the drive train.
I did a K&N and Flowmaster.....Basically it was like hooking up a microphone to my butt...it made it louder, but did nothing for performance. Unless you really want the sound, save the money for gears - that will give you the most bang. Also if you actually go for the diffs, save your money and do not git the Power trax drop in one for the Model 35 - I blew mine shortly after dropping it in.
A friend of mine had an 89 Wrangler, 4 inch lift, 35s, and the straight 6. I don't think the previous owner did anything to the rear end, but it was inspiration enough for me to want a jeep to play around with myself.

I loved that Jeep. I also had a 1967 Scout. That thing was actually cooler than the Jeep, and was totally stock. It also had a little 4 cylinder - it sounded like a tractor. As much as I liked the Jeep, I would have traded it in a heartbeat to get that Scout back.
95 4 banger, 5 speed (don't know what model tranny) Don't know about interior color, guessing Grey, Black hard top.
I'm super excited about this Jeep, my friends was also White with a Black hard top. Looked amazing.
It's a 95, but it has rounded headlights. I'm kind of upset about that, because I really like the squared lights they had on for a while.
just found it...looks interesting, and a few other words come to mind.
I thought the round headlights did not come out until 1997 and the square ones ended in 1995 (1996 no real model year), but they probably mixed and matched from the factory. Look forward to seeing some pics!
